The world of the Vikings is a distant past. Yet it continues to pique our curiosity and imagination.
The Vikings put Denmark and the Nordic countries on the world map, and throughout history we spin myths about them as a particularly tough and warlike people. But is that the whole story of the Vikings?
Join us on a tour of the National Museum's Viking exhibition, where we meet the Vikings both at home and on expedition. We get up close to skeletons, the Vikings' impressive gold treasures, but also everyday life. Through amazing finds and stories, we explore a world over 1000 years old, and together we are fascinated that the Vikings still leave their mark.
