Luckily, it's pretty easy to get to the museum by public transportation, whether it's bus, train or metro.
It's a 10-minute walk from Central Station, but you can also take the metro to Gammel Strand St.
Bus 31, 37 and 2A go to the bus stop Stormbroen/Nationalmuseet, from where it is a 2-minute walk to the museum.
You can also use the travelplan ('rejseplanen') to find your way.
-
Yes, you have two options. You can bring your own food. We have a lunch room where you can eat it.
If the weather is nice, you can also enjoy the weather and your food in the garden.
You can also dine at the 'Smör restaurant'at the museum.

Backpacks and larger bags are not allowed in the exhibitions. We have free locked lockers where your luggage can stay during your visit.
Umbrellas should be placed on the museum's umbrella stands or put in the locked lockers upon arrival.
-
Unfortunately, you are not allowed to bring your own pram or stroller into the exhibitions. Instead, you can borrow a lock for your pram or stroller, leave it just inside the entrance and then take one of our strollers around. If your baby is too small to sit up, you can put a carrycot or wax bag in the stroller.
Changing tables are located in the restroom behind the information.
